Saibal Chatterjee, a film reviewer for NDTV, awarded Animal a rating of 1.5 stars. He added, “Animal presents two men who are as physically impaired as they are mentally scarred in order to justify that it is a man’s world.” Six bullet wounds that drive one’s heart to its breaking point cause one to lose all senses of taste, smell, and hearing. The other is mute. He uses his brother, who is a sign language interpreter, to help him communicate. As is customary in revenge stories of this type, the final confrontation between the two men is enacted on an airstrip’s tarmac. Should you believe that the actual Discard the idea that the problems the bickering couple faces are a metaphor for the things that guys like them lack. Every action taken by the hero to guarantee that he gets his way is supported by a repugnant explanation. Animal appears to be asking the viewer, “What motive could be greater than a man’s desire to get his distracted father’s attention?”
At the movie office, Animal and Sam Bahadur, starring Vicky Kaushal, clashed.
