The Kelly Clarkson Show’ and ‘General Hospital’ both took home significant awards on Friday, and Susan Lucci won the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards Lifetime Achievement Award.
The brightest and greatest of daytime television flocked to Downtown Los Angeles on Friday for the 50th Daytime Emmy Awards.
Shemar Moore, who previously gave Susan Lucci her first Daytime Emmy in 1999 following 19 nominations for her performance of Erica Kane on All My Children, presented Lucci with the Lifetime Achievement Award.
With many statuettes apiece, The Bold and the Beautiful, General Hospital, and The Kelly Clarkson Show were the main winners in the meanwhile.
For her work on General Hospital, Sonya Eddy, who passed away on December 19, 2022, at the age of 55, was given a posthumous award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Daytime Drama Series.
