After suffering a heart attack after a concert in Arizona, Colt Ford is “in stable but critical condition.”

A representative for the singer-songwriter and country music icon Colt Ford said that the singer-songwriter is “in stable but critical condition” on Saturday in an Arizona hospital following a heart attack earlier this week.

According to Ryan Bell, Ford’s manager of publicity, the 54-year-old experienced a medical issue on Thursday after a gig at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona. He was then brought to a medical facility in Mesa.

Bell announced on Saturday that the celebrity had been moved to the Scottsdale location of the Mayo Clinic.

Ford is a multi-platinum musician from Georgia who has influenced both rap and country music.

He achieved five straight Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Country Albums list with his 2012 album “Declaration of Independence.” His follow-up album “Thanks for Listening” peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Independent Albums and Rap Albums lists two years later.

In 2011, Ford’s performance of his song “Cold Beer” with Jamey Johnson garnered a nomination for the Academy of Country Music Award for vocal event of the year.
