Stewart’s infinite wedding band narrative is revealed to Jar movie by the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ duo.
Daniel Durant asked Britt Stewart to marry him with an engagement diamond that symbolizes their endearing romance.
The 34-year-old CODA actor proposed to Stewart at Lake Arrowhead, California, over the Christmas season. According to Stewart, a professional dancer, choreographer, and Dancing with the Stars contestant, the sparkler on the infinity band symbolizes their unending love for one another.
“It’s lovely since our method of expressing ‘I love you’ is ‘I love you forever with infinity,’ through sign language,” the 34-year-old Stewart exclusively tells PEOPLE about her unique relationship with the Deaf Durant. “I knew that when he chose that ring, he saw me, he saw our relationship.”
Durant found the “right ring”—as he was determined to do.
After viewing it in person, he decided it was the ideal choice. Through an interpreter using American Sign Language, he tells PEOPLE, “My heart connected to it, and I had to get that ring,” and that “it belongs on her finger for sure.”
Stewart said “yes,” of course, but there might be a small issue because she doesn’t currently have her engagement ring, which needed to be sent to the jeweler to be resized.
Durant intended to carry out his plan even though he didn’t want to “spook” Stewart by inquiring about her ring size. Stewart laughs, “He has no patience,” but her fiancé assures her that “they’ll be able to fix it and get it back to her.”
She will “absolutely” wear her ring when it’s ready and head out on the Dancing with the Stars Live 2024 tour, which begins on January 11 in Richmond, Virginia.
In order to return her ring, Durant promises to meet her when she is on tour.
Stewart intends to temporarily adorn her finger with a flash of glitter by donning a substitute ring that she purchased from Amazon.
Following their participation in the ABC dancing competition in 2022, Durant and Stewart revealed their love on Valentine’s Day this past weekend. After the two had their Christmas meal with their families, Durant proposed. They hiked together and celebrated the occasion by sharing gratitudes, which is when Durant got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. As a pair, Stewart described the occasion as “perfect” and “authentic”.
On social media, the couple has let fans see snippets of their courtship. Stewart just posted a charming video compilation to Instagram in honor of Durant’s birthday, which fell on December 24.
The video included footage of their hangouts and vacations, as well as the couple enjoying the small moments in life. Stewart also made sure to feature plenty of solo clips of the birthday boy.
